M.A. Chemical and Biological Engineering, Princeton University, 2022

Bio/Description

Zach is a PhD student pursuing a joint degree in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He attained his BS in Chemical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, where he studied colloidal assembly in the Bevan group. He also worked on energy storage materials for one summer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory under Jianlin Li. At Princeton, Zach is excited to study liquid crystal elastomer networks for applications as actuators in soft robotics.

Outside of the lab, Zach can often be found running around Princeton or hitting the gym. He also enjoys discovering new (old) music at Princeton Record Exchange. On longer weekends, Zach spends much of his time hiking and exploring nature.
